Hamburg's Axel Springer segment, first put beside the motorway exit for Berlin and moved to the Elbphilharmonie square in 2012.
A segment stands on the Platz der Deutschen Einheit in front of the Elbphilharmonie. It is one of the 33 elements Axel Springer AG gave to the German federal states and cities for the twentieth anniversary — the same distribution as the Stuttgart record — and it has already moved once: it was installed in November 2009 at the Horner Kreisel, beside the motorway exit towards Berlin, and brought to HafenCity in November 2012 when the square was finished. The first siting was a joke about direction; the second is a piece of city-marketing.

A gift from Axel Springer AG in 2009, marking twenty years since the Wall opened. Relocated within Hamburg in November 2012.
