The record
A memorial on the extension of Berliner Straße, in a town that sat a few kilometres from the inner-German border.
A memorial on the continuation of Berliner Straße, at the place called Abgunst. Osterode is in the western Harz, a few kilometres from where the inner-German border ran — so unlike most of the German towns in this catalogue, this one had the frontier as a neighbour rather than as news, and the piece it holds is from the Berlin end of the same line.
