Put up in a Greek town near Thessaloniki in 2012, dismantled because it made no sense there, and re-erected in the Goethe-Institut garden in 2015.
A segment stands in the Goethe-Institut garden as a sign of freedom gained together. It got there by being rejected somewhere else: it was first erected in October 2012 in the municipality of Lagadas — at a spa, by one account, and on a newly laid-out square in Sochos, by the Federal Foundation's — through a partnership with the Berlin districts of Steglitz and Zehlendorf, and the Lagadas authorities then concluded that the monument had no thematic connection to their town and dismantled it. The move to Thessaloniki was agreed between a Berlin ministry, the Greek Ministry of the Interior and the Goethe-Institut. Very few records in this catalogue document a recipient deciding the object did not belong to them.
The Thessaloniki magazine Parallaxi, in 2018, places it in the institute's garden on Vasilissis Olgas street and gives the Lagadas site as a square of twin towns laid out for it.

Erected at Lagadas in 2012 via a partnership with Steglitz-Zehlendorf, dismantled by the local authority, and re-erected at the Goethe-Institut in Thessaloniki in 2015.
