The record

Three sections at the Peace Culture Bunker, a converted military position in the northern district of Dobong-gu, opened in 2017 and credited to Berlin on the plaque.

Three original sections of the Wall stand at the Peace Culture Bunker (Pyeonghwa Munhwa Jinji) at Madeul-ro 932 in Dobong-gu, a former military position converted into a cultural space that opened on 31 October 2017; the sections stand behind an anti-tank wall. The district's tourism page says the Wall was received free of charge from Germany. The plaque says three pieces were received as a donation from the city of Berlin and set up in Dobong-gu in the hope of peace, while the city of Seoul's own account of the site credits the German businessman Elmar Prost. The sources differ on the donor and both readings are kept.

How did it get here?

Three sections installed at the Peace Culture Bunker for its opening in 2017; the plaque names the city of Berlin as donor, the city of Seoul's account the German businessman Elmar Prost.
