Three segments at the centre of a pond in Chamartín, unveiled on 9 November 1990 — among the earliest permanent installations outside Germany.
The unveiling fell on the first anniversary of the opening. The pond is in the Chamartín district, and the segments are one of very few installations outside Germany placed in an ordinary municipal park rather than an institution.
How did it get here?
Brought to Madrid in 1990 in an operation arranged by the mayor of the time, Agustín Rodríguez Sahagún.
