A piece of the Berlin Wall stands on the Airlift/Tanker Association Walk of Fame at Scott Air Force Base, east of St. Louis. When ground was broken there in August 2024 for a new monument to Operation Allies Refuge, the Air Force's own report listed what the new memorial would be joining: a piece of the Berlin Wall, a 9/11 memorial and memorial busts.
That is as much as an official source says, and the record keeps to it. Accounts of how the slab got there — who gave it, when, how large it is — circulate without a primary source behind them, and are left out until one is found. Scott is an active installation, so the walk is not generally open to the public.
The listing this record comes from pinned it ten kilometres west of the base, and that position has been withdrawn rather than left on the map.
