The section stood behind the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology, along its rear wall near West Jefferson Street. WRVO reported in 2014 that it had been in Syracuse since about 1990, obtained for the museum by BettyAnn Kram, a founding board member who had ties with a German company; WAER reported in 2015 that a peace garden had been created around it that year, funded by anonymous donors. Like the Cosmosphere and the Seattle food hall, it was a segment kept by an institution whose subject is not history, which is the commonest quiet fate of the pieces that went to the United States.

On 28 August 2026 Le Moyne College announced that the section had arrived on its campus from the museum and now stands in front of Reilly Hall, next to Curtis Terrace, with a bronze plaque and landscaping to follow and a blessing ceremony planned. This record is kept as the former site. WRVO also reported smaller fragments inside the museum’s IMAX lobby in 2014, and whether they remain was not established.

Wie kam es hierher?

Obtained in about 1990 for the museum by its founding board member BettyAnn Kram, who had ties with a German company.
