The record

Three sections with a Berlin street lamp and a painted Berlin bear, a gift from Berlin's governing mayor when the plaza opened in 2005.

Three sections beside the Samilgyo bridge on the restored Cheonggyecheon stream, with a Berlin street lamp and a Berlin bear painted with the Namdaemun and the Brandenburg Gate. The plaza opened in October 2005. The framing is unambiguous and official: a gift from a city that was divided to a city in the last divided country.

A gift from the governing mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit.
