A short row of elements stands in the pedestrian area by the station, with plaques. The square matters to this catalogue out of all proportion to what is left on it: Potsdamer Platz is the origin named again and again on records elsewhere in the world — Tallinn, Langeland, Canberra, Seattle, the Paris esplanade, the Battery Park slabs. It was a wide, cleared, heavily built stretch of border in the centre of the city, and when the elements were sold and given away after 1990 this is disproportionately where they came from.
The Berlin Wall Foundation's MAUERSPUREN directory lists the row as a memorial of six connected elements with information panels, and notes what every visitor sees: the elements are almost entirely covered in chewing gum. The state heritage office's page on Leipziger Platz records several segments on the north and south sides of that square as surviving remains of the hinterland wall — built here, at the regime's showpiece, with Grenzmauer 75 elements so that it looked orderly from the viewing platform — and under protection since 2001. Whether this row is among them, and whether its elements stand where they were built or were set back here, the page does not settle, so both readings are kept.
Wie kam es hierher?
Elements on the square that supplied so many exports. This record reads them as a relocated display rather than a preserved position; the heritage office's account of the Leipziger Platz remains leaves open whether they stand where they were built.

Leipziger Platz — Landesdenkmalamt Berlin ↗
The heritage office's page: several Wall segments stand on the north and south sides of Leipziger Platz, all surviving remains of the hinterland wall, which was built here with Grenzmauer 75 elements for the sake of its appearance from the viewing platform; the few remains at this prominent site have been protected monuments since 2001. It does not name the six-element row by the station.
