The southernmost of Berlin's listed Wall monuments lies between Rudow and Altglienicke, north of Rudower Höhe — a 28-metre artificial hill made of wartime rubble that also served as a tip until 1958.

What stands there is hinterland wall of the third generation, introduced in the mid-1960s: concrete slabs held between H-shaped reinforced concrete supports. Out at the edge of the city there was room, and the border strip here was much wider than in the centre. Around 450 metres of it was listed in 2001.

It is the clearest case in this catalogue of preservation losing. Large parts of the strip have already been cleared for the A113 motorway from Neukölln to Waltersdorf. The surviving run stands in the scrub that has taken over the old death strip, almost entirely under graffiti, with the white paint typical of the inner wall showing through in patches — and some of the concrete panels have simply been taken out, leaving holes in the line.
