A concrete section of the Wall stands at the top of the amphitheatre in Laurel Hill Park, with a Cold War mural behind it. Hudson County's executive, Craig Guy, unveiled it on 2 June 2025. It weighs 26,156 lb and stands 11 ft 9 in tall, made of four sections each 3 ft 10 in wide, held together by a masonry coping. Visit Hudson, the county's visitor site, notes minimal graffiti and signs of bullet holes and weathering, and believes the piece stood on the eastern side.

It came to the county in 2007 as a gift from its sister county, Oberhavel, just north of Berlin, arranged by Oberhavel's county executive Karl-Heinz Schröter and Hudson County's director of cultural affairs Bill LaRosa, and then waited for a site. Patch says the county had looked for one for more than a decade, and credits the gift to the city of Brandenburg; Visit Hudson and HudPost say Oberhavel, which is followed here.

The Berlin Wall Archive lists four segments in Jersey City, and The Wall Net describes four segments given in 2007 under a partnership with Oranienburg, the seat of Oberhavel, with a memorial planned at Hudsonside in Jersey City that was not built. The count, the year and the German donor all match the Hudson County account, and nothing read puts any other section of the Wall in Jersey City, so that listing is very probably this piece. None of the sources about the Secaucus installation mentions Jersey City, though, so the two records are kept apart.

Wie kam es hierher?

Given to Hudson County in 2007 by its sister county, Oberhavel in Brandenburg. The Wall Net adds that the pieces came from Klaus Grunske, whose recycling firm demolished the Wall in the northern part of Berlin in 1990.
