The 160 km signed route along the whole former border — a record with no pin, because the object is a line rather than a place.
The Mauerweg is a signed walking and cycling route of about 160 km following the whole course of the border around West Berlin, with a double row of cobblestones marking the line through the city centre where nothing survives. It is the only record in this catalogue that is a route rather than a place, and it carries no map pin for that reason. It is also the best answer to the arithmetic: 155 km of border, of which roughly 3 km of wall survives — under two per cent — so for the overwhelming majority of its length the Wall is now a mark in the paving and a sign.
How did it get here?
Not an object. The route marks the course of the border; the cobblestone line is a later marking, not preserved fabric.
