The record
A section painted with a pair of pop-art robots by Tim Davies, an English artist living in Hanover, and photographed by him in 2015 on the light-rail depot of the city's transport company at Glocksee.
Tim Davies, a British pop artist who has lived in Hanover for many years, painted two robot figures on an original section of the inner-city wall, which he describes on his own site as a fourth-generation element weighing 3.8 tonnes. His photographs of it are captioned by place and year — Berlin 2012 and 2014, Hanover 2014 — and the last of them, Hanover 2015, by an address: the Üstra depot at Glocksee on the Königsworther Straße, the yard of the city's transport company.
The artist's pages do not say how the section came from Berlin or on what terms it stands at the depot. The Wall Net supplies the rest: painted in 2012, shown first near Checkpoint Charlie, and on loan to the Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe since the end of April 2015, fenced in on the depot but easy to see from a busy road. Wikipedia's article on the artist places the robot-painted section on the Glocksee depot and cites a Hannoversche Allgemeine report of 30 April 2015 on its arrival, which could not be read for this record.
Who lent it is not recorded, and the most recent account of it in place read here is the artist's own, from 2015.
How did it get here?
Painted by Tim Davies in 2012 and shown near Checkpoint Charlie, then lent to ÜSTRA from the end of April 2015, by The Wall Net's account; the artist's own pages place it at the Glocksee depot in 2015. The lender is not named.
