The record
Slabs of the Berlin Wall stand in front of a museum of GDR history built up by Gisela and Hans-Peter Freimark.
The Nordkurier, marking 35 years since the fall of the Wall on 6 November 2024, photographed Gisela Freimark at the DDR-Geschichtsmuseum in Perleberg and wrote that the slabs behind her, more than two metres high, stand today in front of the museum she and her husband Hans-Peter, who died in 2020, built up. The same report notes that the site held a concentration camp from 29 May to 28 June 1933.
The Nordkurier of 3 October 2025 describes the museum as holding more than 100,000 objects in more than 30 themed rooms, at Feldstraße 98. The Wall Net, writing in October 2014 from a Street View image, counts three segments beside the building and says the documentation centre was founded in 2006 by the association for the history of the 20th century in the Prignitz.
The press does not give their number; which border section they came from and when they arrived are not known. The museum's own site does not mention them.
