Berlin Wall pieces in Massachusetts
Massachusetts holds one of the most direct recipients in the atlas and one of its most recent installations. Segment 41 at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston was a gift from the German government in memory of the president who told West Berliners in June 1963 that he too was a Berliner; the sources disagreed on the year, and the photograph's own record settles it as 1993. At the University of Massachusetts Amherst a Thierry Noir panel painted in Treptow in 1990 was unveiled in a glass case in April 2023, set east–west as it stood in Berlin. Outside the headquarters of Education First in Cambridge a complete segment keeps the round anti-climb pipe that most records have lost, and the company cannot say when it arrived or why. At the American Heritage Museum in Hudson a segment is listed among the Cold War artefacts, with no word on where it came from.

Each site says what its evidence rests on, from Listed to Confirmed, and whether the piece can be seen today; a listing in a source inventory is not a confirmation that anyone has seen it. The research methodology explains how claims are weighed.
