The record

A segment listed among the Cold War artefacts of a Massachusetts military museum. The museum does not say where it came from.

The American Heritage Museum lists a "Berlin Wall Segment" among the artefacts of its Cold War exhibit, a gallery that takes in the Berlin blockade, the Korean War, the Berlin crisis of 1961 and the Cuban missile crisis. The Boston Globe, describing the museum's galleries in January 2021, also records "a section of the Berlin Wall" among the Cold War displays. The museum is administered by the Collings Foundation, a non-profit, and sells its tickets online.

Neither source says where in Berlin the segment stood, who gave it, when it arrived or how large it is, so the record leaves all of that out.

How did it get here?

Not established.
