The record exists to document that the display happened, not to direct a visit. The occasion was the anniversary of the opening, and the display was temporary rather than permanent.
Not all of it left. RTBF and Bruzz reported in November 2014 that three panels had stayed in Brussels after the exhibition: one remained on the square itself until 7 November 2014, when it was moved to the Parliament's esplanade and unveiled there on 12 November with Martin Schulz and the mayor of Ixelles; one stood at the Parliament's visitors' entrance on rue Wiertz; and one, with a portrait of Kennedy, was restored by the European Commission for the Berlaymont. The Parliament's own page now says the Place du Luxembourg element was acquired by the Belgian State and has stood in a protective case beside the Hemicycle entrance since 2021.
Both the element in its case at the Parliament and the Kennedy piece at the Berlaymont have records of their own.

RTBF, 10 November 2014: three panels remained in Brussels from the exhibition held on Place du Luxembourg five years earlier — one at the Parliament's visitors' entrance on rue Wiertz, one moved to the Parliament's esplanade, and one with a Kennedy portrait being restored by the European Commission for the Berlaymont esplanade.

Bruzz, 10 November 2014: the piece of the Wall shown on Place du Luxembourg since 2009 was moved to the Parliament's esplanade and unveiled on 12 November 2014 with Martin Schulz and the mayor of Ixelles, Willy Decourty, and was to move again in December 2014 to Leopold Park by the Parliament's visitors' entrance, where another piece of the Wall already stood, the two forming a permanent memorial; the European Commission held a third.

The Parliament's own visitor page: one of the two segments now beside the Hemicycle visitors' entrance was part of the 2009 exhibition on Place du Luxembourg for the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Wall and was acquired by the Belgian State afterwards; it was moved to its present place in 2021.

One of the two segments placed in glass cubes at the European Parliament in 2021 was shown in the exhibition on the Place du Luxembourg for the twentieth anniversary in November 2009 and bought by the Belgian state afterwards; the Kennedy segment on the Berlaymont esplanade since 2015 came from the same exhibition and was bought by the European Commission.
