Not a segment at all: a model of the Wall beside a model Brandenburg Gate, at the miniature park below the Atomium.
This record is a model, and the catalogue should say so plainly. At Mini-Europe, the miniature park at the foot of the Atomium, a scale Brandenburg Gate stands between a scale Holstentor from Kiel and a scale Speyer cathedral, with a model of the Wall in front of it. People sit and walk on the model wall unbothered by border guards; behind it, model demolition machinery and low-loaders have begun carting the thing away. Even the Brezhnev–Honecker kiss is reproduced, although that graffito was painted on the East Side Gallery rather than here.
The Foundation files it under a URL that begins „Nachbildung“ — reproduction — so the source agrees. It is included because the inventories include it, and because a catalogue of where the Wall went is more useful if it also says where the Wall only appears to be. A visitor who travelled to Brussels expecting concrete would have a fair complaint.
