A segment in the capital of Saxony-Anhalt, a city that was on the eastern side of the line.

A segment of the Wall in Magdeburg. It belongs to a small and easily missed group in this catalogue: pieces that went to cities in the former GDR. Almost everything here travelled west or abroad, because that is where the buyers and the diplomatic recipients were. A segment standing in Magdeburg is a piece of the border returned to the side it was built to hold in.
