An original graffiti-covered panel in the atrium of Georgetown's Qatar campus, one of two sections Germany gave Qatar for the 2017 year of culture.
An original panel of the Berlin Wall stands in the atrium of Georgetown University in Qatar, in the Education City campus on the western edge of Doha. It was unveiled on 11 December 2018 by Qatar Foundation, Qatar Museums and the university's dean: just over a metre wide and more than three and a half metres high, steel-reinforced concrete sprayed with graffiti.
It is one of two sections the German embassy gave to Qatar Museums as part of the Qatar–Germany Year of Culture 2017; the other stands in the exhibition hall of the Qatar National Convention Centre nearby. The museums present both as carrying messages of hope, freedom and change.
The local press report of the unveiling gives the panel as two metres thick, which cannot be right for a wall element and is left out here.

The panel unveiled in the GU-Q atrium on 11 December 2018 by Machaille Al Naimi of Qatar Foundation, Abdulrahman Al Ishaq of Qatar Museums and Dean Ahmad Dallal; just over a metre wide and over 3.5 metres high, steel-reinforced concrete with spray-painted graffiti.
