The record
Sections brought from Berlin for a single Porsche Design event and repainted on the spot by Thierry Noir.
During Art Basel Miami Beach in December 2013, Porsche Design showed "two original pieces from the Berlin Wall" at the Temple House, an event venue in Miami Beach. The project, Heart of Freedom, was a collaboration with the Berlin artist Thierry Noir. The company's press release says the pieces were "shipped from Berlin for the event only" and were re-painted in Miami by Noir beforehand, as an homage to the paintings he began making on the Wall in 1984.
Because the pieces came for the event alone, the record is kept as a former location. Where they went afterwards is not stated. The release speaks of two pieces, the Berlin Wall Archive's listing counts four, and the Miami Ironside record, for segments Noir repainted in the same week, also counts four; the figures are not reconciled here.
