One section from Waldemarstraße, part of sixteen ten-foot sections acquired by Edward Meyer shortly after 1989 and shipped by barge to Hamburg, freighter to New Orleans, then trucked to Orlando for distribution — roughly 40,000 lb in total. The Times Square attraction has since closed, and where this section went is not established here.
How did it get here?
From Waldemarstraße in Kreuzberg. Thierry Noir and Kiddy Citny painted that stretch in September 1985, and the photographers Liselotte and Armin Orgel-Köhne documented it in ten poster photographs — which makes it one of the few stretches whose pre-sale appearance can be checked against a dated image.
