The Wall in Germany.

Germany holds more records than any other country, and almost none of them are the Wall where it stood. Around 43 km of the border ran through Berlin itself and about 3 km of that survives anywhere; the rest of the German entries are segments that were bought, given or carried to other cities — a ministry courtyard in Bonn, a barracks in Stuttgart, a shopping centre in Bremen. The exceptions are in Berlin and on the Griebnitzsee shore at Potsdam, where the concrete is still on the line it was built on.

The catalogue has 71 researched records in 38 cities in Germany: 25 relocated segments, 16 memorials and 12 still in their original position.

Berlin holds the most, with 32 records. Between them the sources report 68 segments of wall. A licensed photograph illustrates 39 of them. Map positions are missing for seven of them: either no source supplied one, or the one supplied could not be right.
